Jose Rosas Baez, age 53, of Shelby, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 in Grand Rapids.  He was born May 3, 1967 in La Noria Ciudad Fernandez, San Luis, Potosi, Mexico to Hilario Rosas Segura and Maria Julia Baez.

Jose lived in Mexico before moving to Texas at the age of twenty-two.  He lived there five years before moving to Michigan.

He is survived by his wife, Lucina; his children, Jasmin, Vanessa, Wendy, Jose Jr., Gladys and Michael Rosas; two grandchildren, Andy Velazquez and Leona Saenz; and his brothers and sisters, Jose Hipolito Rosas Baez, Maria Cristina Rosas, Jose Modesto Rosas, Jose Marcos Rosas, Jose Mariano Rosas, Isidoro Rosas, Maria Celia Rosas de Castro, Maria Araseli Rosas Baez and Maria Visenta Rosas.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Joe Maria Nicolasa Rosas.

The Funeral Mass for Jose will be held Thursday, December 31, 2020, 11 am at St. Gregory Catholic Church in Hart
