Jennifer R. "Jen" Stevenson, age 38, of Muskegon, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, August 30, 2021.  Jen was born May 27, 1983 in Muskegon to Jeff and Melinda (Raschke) O'Connell.

Jen was raised in Montague and graduated from Montague High School in 2001.  She went on to earn a bachelors degree in music focusing on music choral direction from Concordia University River Forest in 2005.  She married Kyle Stevenson on May 19, 2012.

She had served as music director at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Norton Shores for several years, starting in 2015.  Jen was an active member of St. James Lutheran Church in Montague and had served in many capacities at church such as organist, member of the handbell choir and soloist.  She had  also directed the youth group and was a Sunday School teacher.

Jen is survived by her husband, Kyle; her daughter, Lillian Margarete Stevenson; her son, Benjamin Neal Stevenson; her parents, Jeff and Melinda O'Connell; her brother, Joel (Stacy) O'Connell; grandmother, Nancy O'Connell; her uncle, Tim O'Connell; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Neal and June Stevenson; and other aunts, uncles and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Donald O'Connell, grandparents, Merlin and Dorothy Raschke, Uncle Mike and Aunt Kim O'Connell, and Uncle Dennis Nichols.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 9th from 10 am until the funeral service at 11 am at St. James Lutheran Church in Montague.  Rev.
