Fredrick "Fred" John Schropp, 91, of Custer, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2026. He was born August 19, 1934, in Muskegon, the son of Jacob and Mary (Spangler) Schropp.

Fred is survived by: his children, Jane (Phil) Hennrick, Jeff (Celia) Schropp, and Scott (Lynne)Schropp; with 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara.

Per Fred's wishes, cremation has taken place, a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

Harris Funeral Home, in Shelby, is in charge of arrangements.
