Frank L. Dykman, Jr., age 93, of Whitehall, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021 in Whitehall. Frank was born July 12, 1928 in Grand Haven to Frank L. Dykman and Agnes (Taylor) Dykman.

He lived in Grand Haven until he moved to Shelby at the age of nineteen. He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years in the early 1950's. Frank married Joyce (House) on July 7, 1949. Following his military service, the Dykmans moved back to Shelby and other places before settling in Whitehall in 1964. He was employed as a custodian at Whitehall Public Schools before retiring in 1987. He attended White Lake Wesleyan Church.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; his children, Mike (Jackie) Dykman, Dave (Debbie) Dykman, Christy Hawley, Lois (Chuck deceased) Thielman, Matt (Dayna) Dykman, and Charlie (Judy) Dykman; his sister, Carol (Marty) Shalifoe; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Don and Bill.

A memorial service will be held Friday, December 10th, 11 am at White Lake Wesleyan Church, 503 S. Division Street in Whitehall. Please consider White Lake Wesleyan Church, Harbor Hospice or SKLD Nursing Home in Whitehall as a memorial.
