Frances R. (Vasquez) Guardiola, age 91, of Shelby, MI (long time resident of the City of Muskegon), passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019.  Frances was born August 1, 1927 in Kerens, Texas to Jesus & Maria Vasquez.

Frances is survived by her sons Raul & Juan (Nancy) Guardiola, a grandmother of 12, great grandmother of 27 & great great grandmother of 10. Her siblings Paul Vasquez, Sonora Martinez, Jess Vasquez, Leo Vasquez, Rose Cutlip, Connie Gonzalez, Alice Gonzalez, Ruben Vasquez, Annie Regalado, & Rita McGallon Barget.  She is preceded in death by her parents Jesus Martinez (Maria Rios) Vasquez, her husband George Guardiola, her sons Luis & Jeorge Guardiola, her daughters Mary Frances Guardiola, Elaine Yant, Elena Wilson, grandson Chris Morton Knight, granddaughters Jennifer Guardiola, Cassandra Wilson & a great great granddaughter Alaya Frances Melchor, siblings Josefina Lopez, Angie Guadalcazar, Maria Garcia, Esther Mancia, Joyce Ruiz, Daniel Vasquez, Albert Vasquez and Joe Vasquez.

Visitation & funeral will be at Harris Funeral Home in Shelby, MI with Chaplain Paul Vasquez of Abilene, Texas.  Visitation will be Monday, May 13, 2019, from 5 pm - 8 pm. Visitation Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 10 am - 11 am with Funeral services following at 11 am. Burial service will be at the grave site at Mount Hope Cemetery, in Shelby, MI officiated by Minister Keith Owens.
