Dan Chandler Sr., age 76, of Hart, passed away Friday, November 6, 2020.  He was born March 30, 1944 in Wexford County to Harvey Chandler and Ethel Mundy Chandler.   Dan was raised near Harrieta.  He moved to Muskegon in 1965 and settled in Hart Township in 1969.  He married Lottie (Brown) on December 16, 1967.  She passed away in 2005.  He was a self-employed logger.

He is survived by his children, Rose (Leo) Valdez, Lois (Keith) Wilterdink, William (Trudy) Porter, John Chandler, Dawn (Zane) Russell, and Dan (Melanie) Chandler Jr; sisters, Ruth (Sidney) Harris, Bonnie (Dennis) Sawyer Jr,  Meda (Doug) Jewell, Helen Sawyer, and Rachel (Warren) Cotes; thirteen grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.  Besides his wife, Dan was also preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Wayne, Keith, Gordon, and Marvin Chandler and his sister, Elaine Sawyer.

Public visitation will be held Monday, November 9th, 6-8 p.m. at Harris Funeral Home.  A private funeral service is planned due to COVID 19 restrictions.  Interment will be in South Hart Cemetery.  Memorials for family expenses are appreciated.
