Burland "Chip" McCormick, age 73, of Rothbury, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at home.  He was born April 24, 1947 in Evansville, Indiana.  Chip was married to Mildred (Swedback) who preceded him in death on May 5, 2014.

He was a U.S. Navy Viet Nam veteran. Chip was a long time firefighter and chief in Louisiana.  He also worked in business and construction before retirement.  He spent many summers in Rohbury and winters in the south.

He is survived by his daughters, Heidi Hoffman (and Deana Null) and Kristin (Trent) Graham; his brother, Don (Soo) McCormick; and several grandchildren.

Visitation is Saturday, Sept. 12th, 11 am to 12 Noon at Harris Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be held Saturday, 12:30 pm at Our Lady of the Assumption Cemetery on Winston Road, one mile east of Rothbury.
