Arthur R. Jewell, age 76, of Hesperia, passed away following a very brief illness on Tuesday, December 31, 2019.  He was born June 9, 1943 in Bedford, Indiana to Arthur William Jewell and Mary L. (Hall) Jewell.

Arthur moved to Michigan at a young age.  He lived near Hesperia the past three years.  He was a welder for Consumers Energy for over thirty years before his retirement.  He worked for Consumers for the most part at their Port Sheldon plant.  Arthur was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving from 1960 to 1964.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila; his children, Arthur Robert Jewell (and Rachael Nyman), Dan (Danielle) Jewell, and Jackie (Joe) Passorelli; his grandchildren, Madison Jewell, Emma Jewell, Jake, Nick, Ryan and Hannah Passorelli, Amber (Tim) Meeuwsen and Alex Jewell; brothers, Larry, Jess and Skeet Jewell; and his sister, Pam.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Belle.
