Arthur David "Dave" Benzinger, 80 of New Era, formerly of Shepherd, passed away unexpectedly on March 28, 2024.  He was born August 11, 1943, the son of Arthur and Esther Benzinger.

Serving in the Air Force during the Vietnam War, he fought for our Country from 1961 until his honorable discharge in 1968.

Dave was an avid outdoorsman and had a passion for hunting, fishing and Harley rides.  Any opportunity to be outside he was going to take advantage of it.  When he wasn't outside, he was perfecting his woodworking and leather crafting skills.

Dave is survived by: his wife, Lisa Wyns; daughter, Terri Benzinger; son, David Benzinger; sisters, Judy (Ray) Guthro and D-Anne (Randy) Smith; grandchildren, Ethan, Joseph and Bailey; great-grandchildren, Isla and Brady; many nieces and nephews.

Dave was preceded in death by: his parents, Arthur and Esther; brother, John.

Per his request; no services are scheduled.
