Antonio "Tony" Gonzales, age 72, of Mears, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Spectrum Health in Ludington surrounded by his loved ones.

Tony was born April 3, 1949 in San Antonio, Texas to Jesus Gonzales and Maria Vela, who preceded him in death.

On March 26, 1983, he married the love of his life and best friend, Cheri Gonzales (Harjes) at Golden Wesleyan Church.  Together they had three children.

Tony was a dedicated father and husband who loved his family deeply.   He enjoyed golfing any chance he could, taking trips to the casino but most importantly, spending time with his family.

Tony is survived by his brothers, Joe (Pauline) Gonzales and Emilio (Charlotte) Gonzales, Sr.; his sons, Lucas (Amanda) Gonzales, Antonio (Courtney) Gonzales, Burton (Dracie) Gonzales, Ted Sanchez and Julio Gonzales; his grandchildren, Alex, Devon, Brayden, Destiny, Tony, Sophia, Lily, Madelyn, Avianna and Elias; nieces and nephews, Melinda Gonzales, Emilio Gonzales, Jr., Racheal Gonzales and many other family members, loved ones, great-nieces and nephews and his beloved dogs, Bella and Zuri.

A graveside memorial will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, 1 p.m. at Mears Cemetery.  There will be a luncheon to follow at John Gurney Park in Hart at 2 p.m.
