Sarah R. Gray of Hart, Michigan went to be with her Lord on September 18, 2019 surrounded by family in her home. She was born to Charles and Oma Clifford on June 5, 1945 in Dayton, Ohio. She married Rev. David Gray on October 17, 1964 after they met at Marion College (Indiana Wesleyan University). She served alongside him for more than fifty years in various church ministries, and almost fifty-five years of marriage. They retired as pastor of Hart Wesleyan Church in 2013.
Sarah was also a registered nurse and worked for ten years at the Oceana County Medical Care Facility and then retired from Tendercare in Ludington in 2012. She loved her family, loved rocking grandbabies to sleep, and loved to travel, especially to see a Gaither concert.
She is survived by her husband, David; her four children, Rev. Robert (Miriam) Gray, Stephen (Michelle) Gray, Christine (Jeff) Frye, and Rebecca (Timothy) Harvell; grandchildren, Elisabeth, Aaron, Sarah, David (Melissa), Andrew (Karla), Matthew, Jarred (Jessica), Jacob, Cody and Benjamin Gray, Zechariah, Jeremiah, Isaiah and Micah Frye; Deanna (Juan) Regalado and Lindsey and Thomas Harvell; great-grandson, Leo Regalado; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by siblings, Marilyn (William) Kissane, Ruth (Murray) Collier, Edith (Donald) Sible, Norman (Debbie) Clifford and Paul Clifford. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother-in-law, Murray Collier; her nephew, Jonathon Collier; and baby grandson, Stephen Gray.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 23, beginning at 10 am at Hart Wesleyan Church and the funeral service will follow at 11 am at the church with Rev. Bob Gray officiating. Interment will be in South Hart Cemetery.
