Raymond Furman

Raymond Gene Furman, 73, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, June 12 at his home in Shelby.  He was born in Hart July 27, 1944.  After graduating from Shelby High School in 1962, Ray began working as a mechanic.  He then served in the United States Army from 1967 until 1973.  After serving in the military, Ray worked in the automotive repair business until his retirement in 2017.   

Ray is survived by his wife, Pat (Greiner), who he married July 22, 1967.  He is also survived by his two sons, Jeff (Jeanne) Furman and Ryan (Marnee) Furman and four grandsons, Jarrett, Wyatt, Jaden and Lincoln.

Ray enjoyed golf cart rides, observing wildlife, fishing, hunting for morel mushrooms and watching his favorite sports teams.  

Ray did not want a funeral service, and his family is honoring his request.
