Lila L. Wentzloff

Lila L. Wentzloff, age 81, of Stony Lake (New Era), passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017 in Muskegon.  She was born December 7, 1935 in Muskegon to Howard and Pearl (Ramthun) Davey. Lila was raised west of Rothbury.  She married Lester Wentzloff on August 25, 1956.  They lived for many years on Stony Lake Road, near Stony Lake. Lester passed away June 24, 1992. Lila was a homemaker who made the best pies anywhere!  She loved to crochet baby blankets and other blankets.

She is survived by her children, Lyle (Ceclia) Wentzloff, Leroy (Becky) Wentzloff, Lori Chmielewski and LouAnn (John) Novotka; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.  Besides her husband, Lila was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter-in-law, Louann; her brothers, Melvin and Ronald Davey; and her sisters, Elaine Avery and Evelyn Anthony.

Visitation is Friday, September 22nd from 6-8 pm at Harris Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 23rd, 10:30 am at the funeral home with Pastor Rick Eschenburg officiating.  Interment will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, New Era.
