Laura M. Black

Laura M. Black, age 59 of Ferry Township, Shelby, passed away September 14, 2017.  She was born June 13, 1958 in Muskegon to Herman and Gloria (Sangster) Black.  Laura was raised in Muskegon and moved to Oceana County in 1975.  She loved the outdoors and fishing.  Laura was an avid reader and loved to "hang" with her family.

She is survived by the love of her life, Ben Geyer; her sons, Antonio Hernandez and Arturo "A.J." Lopez; daughter-in-law Lucy Hanks; grandchildren Kayley Baxter, Brock Hernandez, Alivia Lopez, Alden "Bubba" Lopez, Nathan "Boo Boo" Visger, Jared J. Visger and Sondra Reid; great-grandson, Jace I. Baxter; siblings, Keith Black (Tamra), Claudia Black, Greg Black (Cathy), twin brother, Lawrence Black and Ruth Horaczko (Edward); and sisters-in-law, Juanita Jaramillo and Debra Black.  She was preceded in death by her sons. Jose R. Hernandez II and Nathan E. Visger; and her parents.
