Larry B. Huls, age 82, a lifelong resident of Rothbury, passed away January 5, 2019. He was born February 21, 1936 in Rothbury to Adrian "Ed" Huls and Edna (Adema) Huls.
Larry served with the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958 and was stationed in Germany. He worked for Dick Webster in construction in the late 1950's. He married Julia Glenda (Sanders) on June 25, 1960. She passed away October 23, 2004. He was a member of Ferry Memorial Reformed Church, White Lake VFW and the White Lake Eagles.
Larry was employed as a heavy equipment operator for McClean Construction for several decades before his retirement. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his children, Becky (Randy) Machovsky, Rita (Don) Clements and Joe (Reannon) Huls; his grandchildren, Cody Machovsky, Zachary Machovsky, James Huls, Kristina Alger, Julia Clements, Malina Adler, Ryan Clements, Gavin France, Logan Huls and Liam Huls; his great-grandchildren, Kaylynn Alger, Olivia Alger, Jason Alger and Eli Machovsky; brothers, Edward (Gertrude) Huls, Richard (Marcia) Huls, David Huls and Douglas (Linda) Huls; his sister, Karol (Gary) Gustafson; and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Wes Huls.
Visitation is Saturday, January 12th, 9:30 am until the memorial service at 11 am at Ferry Memorial Reformed Church in Montague. Pastor Nick Bowling will officiate and Mr. Jim Tanis will deliver a eulogy.
