Josefa "Josie" Villanueva Santos

Josefa "Josie" Villanueva Santos, age 72, of Hart, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017 in Muskegon.  She was born April 29, 1945 in Corpus Christi, Texas the daughter of Adolfo Alvarado Villanueva and Teresa Gaitan Lara Villanueva.  She married Manuel B. Santos on May 5, 1963.

She was raised in Corpus Christi and moved to Hart in 1976.  She was employed at Hawley Nurseries in Hart.  She loved singing in the church choir, playing guitar, sewing and gardening. 

Josefa is survived by her husband, Manuel; children, Manuel B. Santos, Jr. and Herlinda Santos; grandchildren, Heather M. Santos, Sylvia Jo Santos, Daniel Penã and Lindita (Justin) Siegel; great-granddaughter, Alex Siegel; brothers, Frutoso Lara Inez Villanueva and Manuel Lara Villanueva; and sisters, Leonor Villanueva Martinez and Carmen Villanueva Tijirina.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Daniel Lara Villanueva, Adolfo Lara Villanueva and Marcos Lara Villanueva.
