James Brondstetter Obituary

James "Jim" M. Brondstetter, age 56, of Shelby, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 7, 2019.  Jim was born July 4, 1962 in Lansing, the third of seven children  to John T. Brondstetter, Sr. and Ruby L. (Hill). 

Jim lived in Mason, Michigan until the age of ten when he moved to Walkerville.  He graduated from Walkerville High School.  He lived in Muskegon for fifteen years before moving to the Hart-Shelby area several years ago.

Jim was an avid hunter and golfer and was a member of the Oceana Country Club. He loved football and watching the Detroit Lions.  He also enjoyed fishing, most recently with his brother, John.  He loved to cook.   He had been employed at Johnson Technologies in Muskegon and later at Hawken Energy in Shelby.

Jim cherished time with his daughter, Lucy. They were best buds from the day she was born.

Jim is survived by his son, Hunter Brondstetter; daughter, Lucille "Lucy" Brondstetter; his mother, Ruby Mueller; his girlfriend, Theresa Cederquist; his brothers and sisters, John (Darla) Brondstetter, Barbara (James) Ames, David (Deborah) Brondstetter, Joni Pike, and Carolyn (Kevin) Wilkinson; preceded in death by his sister, Tina Brondstetter and survived by her partner, Tom Atwood; also survived by nieces and nephews, Kayla, Fischer and Kristina Brondstetter, Lee and Robert Oestrike, Summer, Savanaha and Sierra Brondstetter, Jordan Pike, Paul (Karlie) Vincent, Jr., and Kevin and Devin Wilkinson; and Theresa's other children, Sara, Anthony, Samuel and Benjamin Cederquist; and also Jim’s dog, Lilly. He was also preceded in death by his father, John Brondstetter, Sr.  

A memorial service will be held later in the spring on a date to be announced.
