George F. Inman, age 78, of Rothbury, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 2, 2018 at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. He was born on November 28, 1939 and lived in Rothbury most of his life.
George graduated from Montague High School in 1957. He retired from the United States Postal Service and was a US Navy Veteran.
George is survived by his wife, Marilyn, his daughter, Julie (Willie) Carte and his son, Greg (Lisa) Inman. His grandchildren, Sarah (Jason) Moore, Nick Carte (Heather Hoover), Nicolay (Mike) Nikodemski, Kelsey Inman and Marie (Gary) Malone. He also leaves behind his 6 beloved great-grandsons, Carson Moore, Chase Moore, Brayden Nikodemski, Sawyer Steed, Preston Nikodemski and Kash Malone. His sister, Patricia (Robert) Bagley, his brother Ken (Patty) Huston and his great-aunt, Rachel Hughey. He also leaves several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill & Beulah Inman, his brother, Chuck Inman and his sister, Shirley (Fred) Parsons.
A visitation will take place on Wednesday April 4, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. at Harris Funeral Home, Shelby Michigan. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Rothbury Community Church with Pastor James Enns officiating. A luncheon will follow the service.
