Elizabeth Ann Davis, 82, of Hudsonville, MI, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at home on October 15, 2018. She was born November 13, 1935 in Hart to Victor and Dorothy Schultz.
Liz lived in Shelby until 1980 when she married Philip Davis and moved to St. Louis, MO. She worked as a bank associate there until they retired in 2000 and returned to Michigan to live in Hudsonville. Liz enjoyed making beautiful quilts, nurturing her flower gardens, visiting with family and friends and spending time in the Stony Lake area. She was known for making amazing pies and never came to a family dinner without one or two! She and Phil belonged to a motor home club for several years and enjoyed traveling the country making new friends.
She is survived by her husband Philip Davis; her loving cat, Mozart; her daughter, Kathleen Sullivan and her husband, Robert Bauer of New Era, MI, daughter, Kristine (Sullivan) McConnell and her husband John McConnell of Kentwood, MI; granddaughter, Riane McConnell of Barrington, IL; four step grandchildren; fifteen stepgreat-grandchildren; two stepgreat-great-grandchildren; and niece, Paula Gilbert and husband Ken Gilbert of Ravenna, MI. She is preceded in death by her brother James and parents Victor and Dorothy.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made in her memory to: Faith Hospice, 2100 Raybrook Ave SE #300, Grand Rapids, MI 49546. A visitation with food and refreshments will be held Friday October 19th from 4:00-7:00 PM at Harris Funeral Home in Shelby. Funeral service will follow on Saturday morning at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 5631 W Stony Lake Rd, New Era with interment following at Benona Twp. Cemetery by St. Stephens Lutheran Church.
