Dennis B. Pumphrey

Dennis B. Pumphrey, age 57, of Weare Township, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018 in Muskegon.  He was born August 3, 1961 in San Diego, California to Arthur and Alma (Green) Pumphrey. 

Dennis was raised in San Diego.  He enlisted in the U.S. Army at age 18 and served for four years.  He moved to New Era in 1984 and married Christine Schultz on April 14, 1984 in Benona Township.  He worked at New Era Foods.

He enjoyed hunting, playing horseshoes, watching football and wrestling.

He is survived by his wife, Christine Pumphrey; sons, Steven Pumphrey and Timothy Pumphrey (Jennifer Anes); brothers, Dale, Chuck and Edward Jr; sisters, Vicki, Brenda and Tina; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 9th., 2 p.m. at Harris Funeral Home in Shelby with Pastor Daniel Barnum-Steggerda officiating.  Memorials for family expenses are appreciated.
