Christine Kay (Beckman) Yeomans

Christine K. Yeomans, age 68, of Muskegon and formerly of Shelby, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2018 in Whitehall.  Chris was born November 26, 1949 in Shelby to Robert A. Beckman and Wilma I. (Alexander) Beckman.  

She was raised in Shelby and was a 1968 graduate of Shelby High School.  She worked at Hayworth in Holland for sixteen years. She was always giving and caring for her family, friends and neighbors.  Chris was an  enthusiastic follower of sports.  

She is survived by her children, Colleen Yeomans and Chad (Kelsey) Yeomans; her stepdaughter, Heather (Michael) Chahorski; her grandchildren, Desirae Yeomans, Brittany Yeomans, Jordan Yeomans, Rawlin Yeomans,  Kolin Chahorski, Kaydon Chahorski and Tyler Chahorski; her brothers, Bob (Mary) Beckman, Brian (Sue) Beckman and David (Kim) Beckman; her cousin and special caregiver, Joan Roberts; and many nieces and nephews.  Chris was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Scott Yeomans.  

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 14th, beginning at 10 am with the funeral to follow at 11 am at Harris Funeral Home in Shelby.  A luncheon will immediately follow at the Ladder Community Center in Shelby.  Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Shelby.  Memorials may be directed to Michigan Parkinson Foundation, 30400 Telegraph Road, Suite 150, Bingham Farms, MI  48025 or Ladder Community Center, 67 N.
