Arthur R. Jeffries, age 68, of Hart, passed away Friday, February 2, 2018 at home near Hart, surrounded by his family. He was born June 5, 1949 in Hart to Art and Margaret Jeffries.
Arthur was a 1968 graduate of Hart High School. He married Mary Jane (Frees) on June 21, 1969. He then left for a one year tour in Vietnam. He served in the Army from January 1969 to January 1971.
He was an artist when it came to restoring old cars. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, metal detecting, playing the guitar, gardening and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane; his daughter, Tracey (Lawrence) Lipps of Hart; son, Timothy Jeffries of Hart; his grandchildren, Joshua Lipps, Jacob Lipps, Jeffrey Jeffries and Benjamin Lipps; his brother, Royce (Christine) Jeffries of Hart; his sisters, Beverly Williamson from Michigan, Judy Shellhouse of Tucson, Arizona and Viola Jeffries of Whitehall; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-in-law, Sherry and Lee Aguirre of Hart, Sandy and Dave Siedschlag of Hart, Sue and Corvel Toliver of Hart, Pam and Gerry Smith of Whitehall, and Penny Shackelford of Twin Lake; as well as uncles and aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Art and Margaret Jeffries and his brother, Floyd Jeffries.
There will be a celebration of life service Saturday, May 19th, 11 am at Hart Congregational United Church of Christ. A hot rod cruise to Hart Cemetery and a luncheon will follow. The family wishes to thank Harbor Hospice, the Crystal Valley Care Fund and family and friends for your support.
