Alvin "Marty" Wilkinson

Alvin "Marty" Wilkinson, Jr.  age 60, of Rothbury, passed away Friday, January 12, 2018 in Muskegon.  He was born June 15, 1957 in Shelby to Alvin  and Lorraine (Beeman) Wilkinson.

Marty was a 1975 graduate of Montague High School.  He married Kathleen (Barnes) on September 21, 1979.  Marty lived in Montague until 1993 when he moved to Rothbury.  He worked as a cabinet maker for thirty-six years.  Marty was employed at Media Technologies (formerly Silver Street, Inc) until his medical retirement last October.  He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Montague.  Marty enjoyed woodworking and was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; his daughters, Kristy Wilkinson (Travis Omness)  of Shelby and Andrea (Darrick) Procunier of Twin Lake; his mother, Lorraine Wilkinson of Montague; his grandchildren, Brody, Asher and Ezra Procunier; his sister, Barb (Dave) Bedau of Whitehall; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Doug and Susie Barnes of Oklahoma and Bill and Josie Barnes of Holland.  Marty was preceded in death by his father, Alvin M. Wilkinson; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald and Phila Barnes; and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Judi and Tom Davis.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 30, 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm at Stoney Creek Banquet and Convention Center, 3093 W. M-20, New Era.
