We realize that there are several factors to consider when choosing a funeral home. We feel price should be one of those determining factors. We hope the listings below provide you with a comprehensive picture of our prices. One thing to keep in mind is the bottom line. Some funeral homes may charge more for services but less for merchandise (such as caskets) or vice versa. It is the final total that counts. Prices for an arrangement with viewing/visitation, funeral and burial are broken down into three main areas:

1. SERVICES
This includes everything that we do to serve a family including making all arrangements with the family, helping with Social Security and/or veterans applications, composing obituaries, helping to obtain life insurance proceeds, transportation charges, embalming and other preparation, use of facilities for viewing and visitation, use of facilities for the funeral or conducting the service at a church or other location, and graveside service. Our charge is $2,805.00

2. MERCHANDISE

Caskets
Our casket prices start at $520.00 for a pressed wood casket with a fabric outer covering. The least expensive metal casket is $795.00. We have seven casket choices for less than $1,000.00 and ten choices from $1,000.00 to $2,000.00.

Outer burial containers
Outer burial containers, required by most cemeteries, start at $625.00 for a non-sealed concrete burial container. We use the Wilbert Brand. The Wilbert Monarch is $760.00, the Wilbert Monticello is $915.00. There is also a charge for setting the outer burial container and for the equipment that is brought to the cemetery by Wilbert (minimum charge is $255.00; with tent and full set up the charge is $330.00).

Cremation Urns
Small keepsake urns designed to hold a portion of the remains start at $39.00 while other urns are priced from $135.00 to $495.00

Guest Book, Service Folders and Thank You Cards
Cost: Package priced $70.00

3. CASH ADVANCE ITEMS
As a courtesy, the funeral home often places charges incurred by the family from outside sources (such as obituaries, grave opening charges, organist, clergy honorarium, flowers) on the funeral home statement so that the family does not have to pay each charge separately. Obituaries in daily papers are usually charged by length. Weekly papers generally charge a set fee whatever the length. Please contact us for more information regarding specific costs as they vary depending on location.

VIEWING, VISITATION AND FUNERAL SERVICE FOLLOWED BY CREMATION

If you choose to have cremation take place after the funeral rather than burial, costs would apply as follows: Our services, facilities, transportation and equipment, register book, service folders, thank you cards as described in SERVICES would be $2,710.00. In addition there would be a casket (many choices are available as detailed under MERCHANDISE). We also have a solid oak rental casket available for $850.00. You may also add any of the CASH ADVANCE ITEMS at your discretion. There would be a crematory fee of $260.00.

CREMATION TAKING PLACE FIRST WITH A MEMORIAL SERVICE LATER
If cremation were to take place followed by a memorial service, without the body present, our charge would be $1,645.00. This includes transportation, making arrangements with family and helping with obituaries, social security, veterans benefits and life insurance, if desired, use of our funeral home for the service or the funeral directors present at a church or other facility to help with services, guest book, service folders and thank you cards. There would be an additional crematory fee of $260.00.

DIRECT OR IMMEDIATE CREMATION
If no viewing, visitation, funeral or memorial service is desired, our charge is $1,235.00. There would also be an additional crematory fee of $260.00. We would file all necessary papers and permits and help with obituaries, social security, veteran’s benefits and life insurance if desired.
