Nancy J. Brown

Nancy J. Brown, age 79, of Shelby,  passed away Monday, August 7, 2017 in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  Nancy was born May 20, 1938 in Hart to Carroll “Cap” Corliss and Leona (Seguin) Corliss.
 
Nancy was a 1956 graduate of Shelby High School.  She married James E. Brown.  She and her husband owned and operated Brown’s Thrift-T Shopping Center.  Nancy enjoyed gardening, travel and spending time with friends and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim in 1998.
 
She is survived by her children, Jim (Sandy) Brown, Brad Brown, Sue (Scott) Brye and Julie Brown; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a niece, cousins, in-laws and many wonderful friends.
 
Visitation is Friday, August 11th, 6  to 9 pm at Harris Funeral Home in Shelby.  The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 12th, 11 am at the funeral home with Pastor Rick Eschenburg officiating.  Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Shelby.
