Janice R. Knapp

Janice R. Knapp, age 84, wife of Howard Knapp, passed away Monday. December 4, 2017 in Muskegon.  She was born November 6, 1933 in Muskegon to Glenn and Julia Griggs.

Janice was raised in Shelby and graduated from Hart High School in 1951.  She moved to Muskegon upon her marriage to Howard on July 11, 1953.  She lived in Hart for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Howard; her children, Martin Knapp, Glenn Knapp and Janell Swanson; her son-in-law, Willie Thompson; grandchildren, Amber Knapp, Lee Knapp, Heather Knapp, Terry (Heather) Swanson, Stephanie Thompson, Stacy Thompson, Jamie (Tom) Riggs and Tracy (Eric) Eckholm; eleven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.  Janice was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Denalda Thompson; brothers, Frank and Lyle Griggs; and sisters, Virginia Brinkerhoff and Viola Gadsen.

Visitation is Monday, December 11th, 11 am with the funeral service to follow at 12 Noon at Harris Funeral Home in Shelby.
