Many wonderful memories of this beautiful couple.
Long ago I remember having a early dinner cooked by Hank. She always had the best pork tenderloin and fresh veggies that Artie had picked from their garden, that we would make a salad from. Oh and can't forget about the famous pepper relish!! It was an afternoon Michigan Football game day. After eating we would go out in the living room and relax, Artie was dozing, the rest of us almost fall asleep because the home was always comfy and had a small breeze of fresh air coming through. It was so quiet with the game going and out of no where..... this bean bag football type object is literally thrown from the dining room at the TV. A tiny Michigan Football that played the Michigan Fight Song rolls across the floor. It was Hank!! This five foot nothing woman had a hell of an arm and more energy than any child I have ever met. Her team had scored and she was a happy lady.
When visiting in Arizona - I remember Artie taking his time peeling apples with a knife - he didn't want to waste any of the fruit so this process could take a good half hour or even more. When Artie was done he would lay out a certain amount of pretzel sticks to have with his apple slices. Seems to me that 14 pretzel sticks were the allowed amount "because these babies have a lot of salt". When they returned home, he had a new apple peeler/corer which was the best invention ever known to man. He loved that thing!
H&A made a great life and a wonderful, loving family.

To the Gosselin family, my family's and my sincere condolences. Your dad was always very kind to transport us around after football practice during the high school years. It's sad that the old neighborhood has lost such a special person. My thoughts to you Shari especially. I am sure you all have so many many memories. I hope those special moments help you through this difficult time.

it must have been 10-12 years ago........ws sitting at Cup's house on the couch next to Artie after a game. The call cam out for "pizza time"........80 some odd years old and that guy jumped to his feet to get at the pizza faster than most teenagers. I thought to myself......I'd better step up my game. Beaten to the food line by a guy in his 80's.......I guess then I didn't realize who I was up against..........R.I.P. it was a pleasure to know you!
